Write a cease and desist letter

Demands

To rectify this matter, you are hereby directed to:

1. Cease and desist immediately from any further unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or display of the copyrighted Work.
2. Remove all infringing material from all platforms under your control, including but not limited to websites, social media accounts, and print materials, by no later than [Insert Date, e.g., 10 days from the date of this letter].
3. Provide written confirmation to the undersigned that you have complied with the above demands by [Insert Date].

Legal Consequences

Failure to comply with the demands set forth in this letter will result in legal action, including but not limited to filing a lawsuit for injunctive relief, statutory damages, actual damages, attorneys’ fees, and costs pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 504 and § 505. Please note that statutory damages for willful infringement may be as high as $150,000 per work infringed.

Reservation of Rights

Nothing in this letter shall be construed as a waiver of any rights or remedies available to my Client under applicable law, all of which are expressly reserved.
