The term “Adaptive Control Module” as used herein refers to a computational subsystem within an autonomous vehicle navigation system, comprising hardware and software components, that dynamically adjusts the vehicle’s operational parameters based on real-time input from sensory data, environmental conditions, and pre-programmed algorithms. The Adaptive Control Module is configured to process information from the vehicle’s sensor array, including but not limited to cameras, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors, to generate control signals for steering, acceleration, and braking systems.
The Adaptive Control Module further incorporates machine learning capabilities to refine its decision-making processes over time, utilizing historical data and predictive analytics to optimize navigation and safety performance. For the purposes of this specification, the Adaptive Control Module may be integrated into the vehicle’s central control system or operate as a standalone unit in communication with other subsystems.
